I am a life-long resident of Tontitown, mother, small business owner, retired nurse, and co-founder of the Circle of Life Hospice.
We need a change. I am running for the Arkansas State House of Representatives to connect rural voices to Little Rock.
I co-founded the Circle of Life Hospice in 1992 as part of the Springdale Hospital home health program. After the death of my own daughter, Heather, I knew just how desperately grief services were needed here. So, we expanded Circle of Life into the very first freestanding Hospice House in NWA. I worked with the hospital administrators, clergy, health professionals and state agencies and we got the job done. For nearly two decades now, this organization has provided much needed services to families here in NWA.
Making change is in my blood. Since my retirement as a nurse, I've run Olive Loom, a company that primarily employs caregivers who cannot hold traditional 9-5 jobs. When COVID-19 came to our community, Olive Loom suspended our usual operation and started making face masks. We have rapidly scaled up to meet the great demand.
Whenever I see a problem, I work hard to find a common-sense solution. Together, we can do this.
